This is a fantastic property for large groups with a variety of comfortable rooms and many ensuite rooms

"Perfect for families as well as corporate functions. Its located in the heart of a beautiful village, close to Barmouth beach, some local amenities and takeaways and cafes, but not close to any large supermarkets, however you can order food shopping. Parking is located just a few minutes walk away with a few spaces outside to unload. The property was clean and the photos do not do it justice. Kitchen is extremely well equipped, there is a drinks chiller in the sitting room as well as a poker table, football table, pool table and shuffleboard. The dining room comfortably seats all guests and there were highchairs and cots available. Bed Linen and hand, bath and teatowels are provided. Fantastic property, easy to contact the owner and the housekeeper who is available and local if you need them. I would definitely recommend."

"Great location for large parties, sleeps 45 people. Centre of town close to shops and pubs, dog friendly cafes nearby. 3 floors, well equipped large kitchen, enormous dining room, pool table, football table. Parking for 3 cars, shortstay dropoff parking nearby, parking with permits in public carpark 2 minutes walk away"

"The location is fantastic, with lots to do in the town itself and within easy reach of mountains & coast. The property is great, loads of space and large comfortable rooms. Lovely big kitchen, with loads of fridge space and storage, and a massive dining to host meals. We couldn’t have asked for anything more - excpet perhaps a pool table. Oh, its got one of those too! Bonus! Great communication from the owner - The Lombard is a brilliant property, highly recommended!"

"We have stayed here on a trip with a university society twice now. It is absolutely perfect! A great sized living room space with a pool table, poker room and a huge telly. The kitchen is also massive and very well stocked with pans and utensils. This makes it very easy to host a big team, and so nice that we can all get round the dinner tables together. The beds are comfortable too. Thankyou so much! We will be coming back next year!"

The Bluebell

We hired the Blue Bell for 38 all female family and friends for a surprise weekend for my daughter’s 40th birthday

"It was absolutely perfect! We decorated the large function room and hired a DJ and Supreme Photo Booths - both excellent. There is a brilliant bar area where all our guests stored the drinks they’d bought with them. The kitchen facilities were great with loads of fridge and freezer storage space and 2 double ovens where we prepared and served a cooked breakfast on Saturday morning and chicken and chips in the afternoon after enjoying a televised dog racing game in the afternoon in the snug area next to the dining area. On Friday evening we ordered fish and chips from Nafferton Fisheries in Driffield - they gave us a fabulous service - great communication before the event and delivering their hot and tasty food on time. For our party on Saturday evening we’d ordered a load of platters from Morrisons which is only a short drive away. The Blue Bell is in a lovely small village and many of the ladies enjoyed a long walk on Saturday morning including the grounds of Burton Agnes Hall. Communication with the owners and housekeeper prior to arrival and during our stay was excellent - they couldn’t have been more helpful. Several guests enjoyed using the hot tub in the lovely grounds at the rear of the property. There were no complaints from any guests who all said they had had a fabulous weekend. The property was warm and comfortable and had everything we needed for a marvelous celebratory time. It was excellent value for money and our guests said they could not believe how we had managed to put the weekend on for the price that they had paid. I would have no hesitation in recommending this venue"

We used The Bluebell for a family party of 25, everyone enjoyed the whole weekend!

"Fabulous option for large group holidays: we've been for several years now for a week in January with 30+ friends! All rooms are ensuite which is a big bonus and the massive glass-roofed atrium with ping pong table and disco lights is a brilliant social space. One of the highlights for us is the property's very own pub (which we stock with our favourite tipples). We order in fish and chips from Nafferton Fisheries, walk, talk and play lots of games - it's a really special fixture to lift the post-Christmas blues especially as it's so close to Bridlington and Flamborough for some sea air. Mark and his team are very responsive to our messages - highly recommend this property!"

"This is a fantastic place for family/friends gatherings. Extremely comfortable, great that all rooms are en-suite. We booked the weekend for my sons 21st birthday, there was a mixture of ages from 13-96 and this place is suitable for all ages. The facilities are great everything you need for cooking and plenty of crockery etc. All the different rooms make it so that you can all be together if you want but apart if you don’t. We had a great time & can’t wait to book again. Thank you."

Great accommodation for large groups!

"We are a business group that rented Mountain View since September and we are still accommodated here. Dr Sanders is a very kind person, who helped us with every request. Many thanks for your business. I recommend this accommodation for large groups, family and friends gatherings. I must say the price is more than reasonable for the living conditions offered."

40th Birthday Bash!!

"My wife and I, along with 30+ friends have just returned from an excellent weekend at Mountain View.
The housekeeper, Jill, was most welcoming and helpful in advance of our arrival. We found the venue to be perfectly clean (no mean feat given the size of the place!) and very well equipped to cater for all our guests. There’s sufficient space to chill out with comfortable beds and seating areas. The games room and basement disco went down very well and the owner Mark genuinely wanted us to enjoy ourselves… which we did!
We received many positive comments from our friends on how perfect the venue is for a large party such as this. Thanks a lot."

Fantastic weekend, can’t fault the place!

"16 of us stayed here over the May bank holiday weekend, the place is huge – almost everyone ended up with their own room. There’s plenty of entertainment: Table Football, Ping Pong, Basketball, Pool. Loads of space to lounge around (two separate lounges). A specious kitchen with all the equipment you need plus a BBQ outside!There location is convenient for local shops and the beach too, we really couldn’t fault it at all.

Stayed with a group of 30 friends to celebrate a 40th.

"The property is much bigger than it looks in the pictures and was absolutely perfect for our group. Great facilities - everyone seemed happy with their beds and the games and entertainment were great and spot on location, convenient for shops, pubs, takeout and hiking in Snowdonia. Owner was responsive, friendly and helpful. Highly recommend and would stay again!"

Absolutely huge place so you can congregate or find your own space.

"Lovely little town with a good bus service to other local towns. Rooms are all comfortable and a decent size, plenty of bathrooms and the four poster with ensuite is fantastic."

The house was amazing

"The facilities were fantastic, with a special mention going to the showers. Sometimes you stay in a hotel with less than adequate water pressure and there's really nothing you can do about it. These showers were like bathing under a waterfall, and are definitely up there with the best showers I have used. Hot water was a plenty, the house was constantly warm, even in February, and there was nothing you could want for in the kitchen utensils department. We were cooking large meals for the children with ease. A wonderful house in a wonderful location. Would definitely stay there again!"

Great accommodation for large groups!

"21 adults, 2 babies and 1 dog. Stayed for a weekend to celebrate my husband’s 30th. Guests were aged 0-75 and all enjoyed the stay. Lovely location. 20 minute walk to the beach, shops in Colwyn to browse also useful Aldi and Co-op nearby. Great for a party we got a buffet from local cafe/ catering company Country Taste for Saturday night, local takeaways nearby too.
Comfy beds, many bathrooms (all clean and working) and a very well equipped kitchen. Washer and dryer was handy with a newborn. Pool table and football table well used as well as board games.
People could easily get about for days out in Colwyn Bay, Snowdonia, Llandudno and a track day at Anglesey Circuit. We only wished we had booked it for a week not just a weekend!"

"The house was amazing, so much more than we expected, so central for everything. We were there to celebrate our son's 40th Birthday with all the family, and some very close friends, we had the best time ever and the little people in our group ( kids and grandchildren ) had a fantastic time , especially with all the indoors games provided. Can't praise this place, the organisation and the attention to detail enough. Highly recommend the Ship if you are considering a stay vacation or a long weekend, as we did, it was brilliant, even our dog Buddy had an absolute ball. Thanks to all concerned."

Had the best time celebrating my 50th with Family and Friends.

"The house is very comfortable with plenty of space so that people can relax. The main lounge games and kitchen area were fabulous and everyone was able to have fun and catch up without feeling on top of each other. My husband and I had the en-suite room (being the birthday girl) But everyone reported that the showers were all lovely in the other bathrooms, of which there were plenty. Would highly recommended a stay at the Ship Inn if you want a comfortable, kicked back get together where you can feel at home - so glad I booked here. Many thanks"

Plas Y Bryn

"Great place to stay for a large party of 20, with kids of ages 2 through to 10. Good to have lots of ground floor rooms for those with little ones & older folks with limited mobility. Nice private garden areas with bbq & safe for kids to explore. Well situated for family activites such as Gypsy Wood, GreenWood, Pili Palas, Zip world & activities like kayaking (Paradise Adventures on Llyn Padarn) and riding (Snowdonia Riding Stables). House was clean, clean bedding, towels & nice waterfall showers. Kitchen big, well equipped and lots of storage space. Ample room for dining and relaxing. We do a big family holiday every year so have a lot of places to compare with this place & all boxes were happily ticked. Would recommend to a large family group."

"Had a lovely 2 day break here. It was beautiful. The staff were wonderful and helpful. I didn't have breakfast but it looked good.
My room with a view and balcony was beautiful and the four poster bed was the most comfortable nights sleep I've had.
The decor is fantastic 👌.
Really wonderful break with plenty of places close by to visit. Totally recommend and will return."

"Had two very success years staying here as a group of 20. Close proximity to many attractions in north wales. Great house with everything you need to host a large group. All en suite rooms with large entertaining room and huge kitchen. Thoroughly enjoyed it!!"

"Fabulous stay at Plas Y Bryn! The rooms are super clean and confortable, each with its own en-suite shower room. The kitchen is very big and well equipped, and the living room large but cosy. The game rooms are perfect for children and really fun for big groups. Great location a short drive away from fabulous hikes in Snowdonia, from the beach and from cultural sites (Caernarfon). Would love to go back!"

"We were lucky to book our weekend getaway at this hidden gem near Caernarfon. Nestled among lush greenery with glimpses of the sea, Plas y Bryn is an 18th-century manor once owned by Sir George Lloyd — a stay steeped in history and charm! Before our stay, Steve was amazing—answering all our questions and kindly upgrading us to the superior king suite for my birthday! The room had everything we needed, but the four-poster bed was the real treat. Modern bathroom with a lovely bath, and breakfast was classic English with great coffee. Spotless and well-maintained throughout. Can’t fault a thing—definitely coming back!"
