EVENTS
Huge Holiday Homes provides exclusive-use, large-group accommodation in North Wales and East Yorkshire for events including hen parties, stag dos, weddings and wedding parties, family reunions, milestone birthday celebrations, New Year group breaks, and corporate retreats. Properties range from 12 to 50 bedrooms, sleeping 32 to 120 guests. All are available on an exclusive-hire basis with no other guests on-site. Several properties are licensed for civil ceremonies. No booking fee applies on direct reservations.
HEN PARTIES
Plas Y Bryn Manor near Caernarfon is the largest residential hen party venue in North Wales, sleeping up to 120 guests across 50 bedrooms with its own bar, games rooms, and grounds. The Bluebell in East Yorkshire sleeps 52+ with a pub area, hot tub, and games room.
Both work for groups arriving on a Thursday or Friday, with a full weekend of activities and no curfew or noise policy from neighbouring guests to worry about. For smaller parties of 30–60, The Bevan, The Cadwaladr, or The Lloyd George can each be booked separately.
WEDDINGS & WEDDING PARTIES
For the wedding party itself — the nights before, the morning of, and the day after — having everyone sleep in the same building changes the dynamic entirely. No one is late to the ceremony because of a hotel check-in problem. The morning of the wedding happens in one space. The evening ends when the group decides it ends.
Plas Y Bryn and The Bluebell are licensed for civil ceremonies and have hosted full weddings. The Bluebell's glass atrium seats 100 for a reception and the lawn can accommodate a marquee. For groups whose main wedding is at a separate venue, any of our properties work as residential wedding party accommodation in North Wales and East Yorkshire respectively.
FAMILY REUNIONS
The challenge with a big family reunion is that people want to be together but also need their own space. Plas Y Bryn handles this better than any single-building property: three separate buildings on one estate, each with its own kitchen and lounge, but all sharing the same grounds and function room. A family of 80 can spread across the estate but eat together in the Lloyd George dining room.The Lombard in Dolgellau works well for smaller extended families — 42 guests, a dining room that seats 50, and a town-centre location that makes it easy for older members of the group who do not want to drive.
MILESTONE BIRTHDAYS
Properties from 32 to 120 guests cover everything from a 40-person 50th birthday to a 100-person 70th. The tiered structure means there is a property at the right price point for each budget. The Lombard and The Bevan are good value for groups of 30–40; Plas Y Bryn full estate is the option for large celebrations where everyone needs to be under one roof.
CORPORATE EVENTS
A residential corporate event works differently to a day conference. When a team stays together overnight, the informal conversations over dinner and the following morning often do more than the structured agenda. Huge Holiday Homes properties are available for corporate away days, team retreats, and residential leadership events in North Wales. Plas Y Bryn Manor near Caernarfon is the most suitable for large corporate groups: it sleeps up to 120 across 50 bedrooms, has a function room with a projector and screen that holds 120 people, multiple breakout spaces across three buildings, and an on-site activity partnership with Summit Achievements for guided outdoor sessions. Mountain View in Penmaenmawr and The Lombard in Dolgellau work for smaller teams of 30–50 in a residential setting.
NEW YEARS
All Huge Holiday Homes properties are available for New Year group bookings. A long-weekend hire from 29 December to 2 January gives groups time to arrive, celebrate, and recover without rushing. New Year is high season; early enquiry is recommended.
